My Take On Ghost Pics PDF Print E-mail

Let me preface this article by saying that these are my beliefs. These are beliefs built up over the course of my life (I’m 31) and from the sights and sounds that I’ve been privy too. I can honestly say that the closest I’ve come to photographing something supernatural have been the times I’ve taken pictures of my apartment and seen the globules floating around. Others in my family have been as fortunate to actually take apparition photos or aura photos, whether it has been at someones house or even in a cemetery.

When I was in college, at Uconn, for four years I was able to see the Ed and Lorraine Warren traveling show. If you don’t know who these 2 people are, go ahead and google their names. They are two of the most famous ghost hunters in the United States. Investigating supernatural occurrences world wide, they travel each year to different universities scaring unsuspecting college students (some even sober) by displaying picture after picture of photographic evidence of spirits and ghosts that they, or others have actually taken pictures of. They have amassed so many pictures and memorabilia over the years that they have even made a portion of their home in Connecticut a museaum dedicated to displaying these odd artifacts. Needless to say, the photos they’ve displayed over the years coupled with their stories, and the sights and sounds of events around myself during my life, have made me a believer.

But how is it that ghosts or specters can be photographed on all sorts of media? I was down in New Orleans and had someone explain to me that “the ghosts allow themselves to be photographed”.

Wow. I have no idea if that is true, but what a concept! Take the hypothesis that ghosts are real, ie- the spirits of deceased ones still trapped on earth. Now take that new concept of that they choose to be photographed by the living and what do you get?

A sentient being. Although not one ALIVE in the sense that we think of alive.

This concept blows me away. The sort of questions that flood my mind are “why do they choose to only allow certain people to photograph them”, “why would they only show up as streaks or globules for some, but full out figures for others?

I have no clue, but I do think about these things..

One explanation that has been given to me is that ghosts feed off the energy around us to produce an image imprint, or to make themselves viewable to us in whatever form they want. I knew of a bunch of guys who thought it would be cool to shoot out a semiconductor on a high power line near a cemetery one night.

The locals reported seeing and hearing things from that cemetery for several nights afterwards. Supposedly all the electrical and static electricity released by the downed power line allowed a direct conduit of energy to be used by the deceased in the area to “make themselves by heard and shown”.

But who really knows the reason. These are just hypothetical reasons and best guesses. What we do know is that strange images and noises that CAN NOT be naturally explained do make themselves evident to us in normal every day ways.

You ever see something out of the corner of your eye?

You ever feel like you’re not alone when you really are?

You ever feel a shadow come over you when you’re doing something but no one is there?

You ever see your cats or dogs start staring off into space or barking wildly at NOTHING

Take out your camera and take a picture. You might just be surprised at what you find.
